It has been a long winter and at Growing Change we have been spending a lot of time indoors planning our next events. We can not wait to get out in the spring and start our new projects (more to come in following posts) . We have had several events planned that just didn’t come through, so we were excited when Sibbz and Seth Brown from To Entertain U, decided to throw a benefit in our name. The Funky Art Fest was an amazing show at the Knit Factory Boise which included over 30 artists and 5 bands including: Phantasmagoria, Scott Pemberton Trio, Danger Beard, The Like Its, Shon Sanders.
There was a great turnout, in excess of 500 people came out to attend the festivities. Fun truly was had by all. After all, how often can you buy original local art while dancing to awesome bands, that is in support of a great non profit organization. I would say this winter festival was very successful.
So with an increase in awareness to our organization and a well needed event, we vigorously begin work towards our spring projects. We have some good ones coming up, so stay tuned.
